Throughout these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Bassmere Audio, an independent car audio fitting workshop trading in Sheffield, United Kingdom. "You" means anyone using this website.

2. Using this website

You may read, print and download pages from this site for your own use, or to share with someone considering car audio work. You may not republish our text or images commercially, present them as your own, or use them to train an automated system for commercial resale without written permission.

You agree not to use this site in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation, or that attempts to gain access to systems or data you have no right to.

3. The information we publish

Our guides describe methods and measurements we use in our own workshop. They are written in good faith and kept up to date, but every vehicle differs. Following a guide does not guarantee the same result in your car, and we cannot accept responsibility for work you carry out yourself or have carried out by a third party.

Vehicle electrical work carries real risks, including fire from an unfused power cable and damage to control modules. If you are not confident, use a qualified installer.

4. Prices and quotations

Prices shown on this website are indicative starting points, include VAT at the prevailing UK rate and assume a straightforward fit on a vehicle in normal condition. They are not an offer capable of acceptance.

A binding price is given only in a written quotation issued after we have inspected the vehicle. Quotations are valid for 30 days. If work behind the trim turns out to be more involved than the quotation assumed, we will stop and contact you before doing anything that changes the price.

5. Bookings and cancellations

• Bay slots are held on confirmation and normally do not require a deposit. Custom fabrication and special-order parts may require a deposit, which we will state in writing.
• Please give us at least two working days' notice to cancel or move a booking, so the slot can be offered to someone else.
• If we have to move your booking, we will offer the next available slot and, where a deposit was taken, a full refund if the new date does not suit you.

6. Our work and your statutory rights

We provide a two-year warranty on our own workmanship: wiring, mounting, fabrication, damping and tuning. Hardware carries the manufacturer's own warranty, and we will handle a claim on your behalf where we supplied the part.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by later modification by others, accident, water ingress from an unrelated fault, or equipment operated beyond its rated limits.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to services carried out with reasonable care and skill.

7. Vehicles left with us

Vehicles are left at the owner's risk save for loss or damage caused by our negligence. Please remove valuables before your appointment. We are not able to store vehicles overnight other than by prior arrangement.

If your vehicle is leased or on finance, it is your responsibility to check that modifications are permitted under your agreement before work begins.

8. Liability

We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website, including loss of profit, loss of data or business interruption. Our liability in connection with any single piece of fitting work is limited to the amount paid for that work.

9. Links to other websites

Where we link to a manufacturer's specification or an external reference, we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

10. Trade marks

"Bassmere Audio", our logo and the wording on this site are ours. Vehicle makes and models are referred to descriptively only, to identify the cars we work on. We are not affiliated with, and do not claim endorsement by, any vehicle or equipment manufacturer.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you use the site is the version that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
